Our MotivationEach one of us has been touched by cancer in some form. Each of us has a story (see below). We all share the pain and suffering that thousands of families and individuals have gone through. The pity of it is that much of this suffering can be avoided. The key is early detection. Our MissionOur mission is to provide access to the latest in knowledge-based technologies to help people identify their risk of having cancer….early! It is our way of giving back. Our Stories“I lost my dad to colorectal cancer. If my father had caught his cancer just 6 months earlier, he would be here today. Instead, it metastasized and ended up in his liver. We lost him after a six year battle, truly a gift since he was only given about a 1-2 years to live. We thank the wonderful doctors at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Charlotte Hungerford Hospital and other physicians who treated him. He was a wonderful man who brought joy to others through his music...we all miss him.” (EW Stein) “My wife was diagnosed with late stage colon cancer at age 51 that had already metastasized to her liver. She was otherwise healthy and had no prior symptoms. An evaluation of her family medical history would have recommended earlier screening that may have saved her life. We would also like to thank the dedicated doctors, nurses and staff at Fox Chase Cancer Center and their affiliate,
Pottstown Memorial Regional Cancer Center for the wonderful care received.” (T. Welsh) |
